Definition: an exciting and often illusory and romantic attractiveness; especially : alluring or fascinating personal attraction.
Glamour
Glamour mainly consists of pictures posed in underwear/swimwear or sexy outfits, in relatively innoffensive sexy poses. For examples of this see FHM, GQ or Maxim.
You can play dress up in a Hooters T-Shirt, french maid outfit, lingerie or even your husbands old football shirt.
Beauty is not exclusive to any colour or race (my wife is half-Greek) and so if you are proud of your ethnicity we can take pictures that celebrate your culture and ethnic beauty. Glamour Gallery
Boudoir
The shopping malls, TV advertising and magazines would have you believe that as soon as you are over the age of 21 you are no longer attractive, fun or sexy. This couldn't be further from the truth. Ask any man who is even slightly in touch with his feelings and he will tell you that his 30, 40, 50+ year old wife/girlfriend is probably more sexy now than she has ever been.
My boudoir photography sets out to prove that he is right.
What is boudoir?.
The dictionary describes the boudoir as a lady's private sitting room or parlour, and often these photos are taken in the ladies own homes where they feel most comfortable. If the lady prefers I am happy to work in a photo-studio or even in the great outdoors at some secluded and picturesque location. What is most important is that the lady concerned feels comfortable and beautiful. The images themselves can be portraits, lingerie, swimwear, glamour, topless, abstracts, artistic nudes and even erotica, all of which will be taken with respect to the lady's limits and her likes and dislikes regarding her own body.
Who chooses what type of images to be taken?
This is entirely up to the woman. Whilst her husband/boyfriend may wish for something a little raunchy, the lady may feel a little shy about showing a little too much of that side of her personality to a photographer. It's up to the lady if she wants to draw the line at lingerie or she decides to dance naked in the woods. The men will have to just believe me when I tell them that a woman who is uncomfortable with the level she is being asked to model at, will not look good in the final images. A photographer cannot compensate for that no matter how good he is as a photographer.
But what about........
........scars? stretch marks? moles? wrinkles? Just because we men can't see these things (or in some cases we think they're beautiful) it doesn't mean they should be disregarded when it comes to a boudoir shoot. Remember if the model feels good about herself then that will shine through a hundred times brighter than any blemish on her skin whether it is real or imaginary.
Before the shoot we can discuss possible poses, props or make-up which either hide any weak points or emphasise the many good ones. During the shoot we will work on variations and the model will recieve continuous feedback in the form of words and viewing the shots taken so far. After the shoot is over I will carefully work on each individual photograph the model has chosen and make sure that the pimple that appeared that morning has disappeared, and that the weak points discussed before the shoot are lessened or removed entirely. The resulting images will be realistic without being brutally honest, and beautiful without appearing like you'd been created by an air-brush artist. Boudoir Gallery
The Nude
Believe it or not there is a lot more to nude photography than pressing the shutter release once a model has their clothes off. Lighting and composition becomes far more important as there are often fewer props to hide poor photographic technique.
There are also a number of sub-divisions within this group from a figure study to erotica, which all have sometimes subtle differences from each other.
To model for this style your age, size and looks are not as important as the ability to relax, so if you are 50 years old or 16 stone I will still want to photograph you.
These are just some of the variations that fall into the artistic nude category.
This involve capturing the body either in motion or at rest to capture the versatility and variety in the human form. This could involve photographing an athlete or dancer as they exercise or prepare, or it could simply be someone reading, enjoying a moments reflection, washing, relaxing or performing Yoga exercises.
Pregnancy, Mother and child.
Have you recently had a baby or discovered you are pregnant? If so then this area of photography may be of particular interest to you. The images can be a simple recording of your changing shape or some artistic images taken during the third trimester. If you have ideas of your own then I am more than willing to sit and discuss them with you. If you would rather keep some clothes on then no problem, this is after all your time and your experience.
Romantic nudes.
Difficult one to describe in words but the mood is soft and gentle. It's possible that the location or props will take precedence in this sort of picture, so imagine a woman nude apart from a long hooded cape, on a bench in the centre of a maze, lost in the words of the book she is reading. I'm sure you can imagine many more scenarios in different locations, costumes or time periods. Nude Gallery
Abstract
Definition: Abstract - having only intrinsic form with little or no attempt at pictorial representation or narrative content.
Is there a part of your body that you think is really great? Is it your eyes, hands, legs, bottom, back, neck, breasts, ankles, feet or even your skin? Or maybe you simply feel comfortable within your own skin and would like to express your contentment through film. If so then this section could be for you.
There are many people who would like to capture their perfect body part on film but would be too embarrassed/shy to have their face included in the picture. Others are quite rightly proud of a particular aspect of their body but would never think of taking a photograph of it in isolation.
The human body is an incredibly beautiful thing and abstract photography attempts to illustrate that fact without the distraction of personality or surroundings. Abstracts can also accentuate the texture and form of the body by juxtaposing it against alternative forms such as flowers, trees, rocks or even man-made structures.

Definition: Anonymous - With no name or unacknowledged.
For some people, being reduced to a series of body parts is not exactly what they had in mind, but neither do they want to show their faces to the world at large. A series of shots whilst wearing a fancy dress ball mask could be just the answer. Dance, pose, sit or recline, either in or out of costume.
Another alternative would be in a studio setting where lighting is position to put some or all of the face in shadow, or props are used to obscure the model.
